The Team lacked numbers and was hurT by The loss oT lasT year's seniors. NeverTheless, we can surely be proud oT The accomplish- menTs oT This year's Team. STrong running and passing aTTacks were evidenT Trom The TirsT game: a 7-6 vicTory over BeThlehem. HalTbacks Gary Lisiewski and Bruce Wheeler, and Tullback Bill Weismann carried The ball exTensively while junior Fred MasTroianni Threw The winning Touchdown pass To sophomore Mike Romano. The Tol- lowing week Three TD passes desTroyed Colonie, 28-6. ATTer Two deTeaTs by Shaker and Guilderland, The Team bounced back To deTeaT Columbia 34-6, as Roger Harrison, Gary Lisiewski, Fred lviasTroianni, Bill Weismann, and Bruce Wheeler each scored a Touchdown. The nexT week Wheeler Threw To Gary Lisiewski Tor one TD and ran Tor anoTher as Mohona- sen deTeaTed Hyde Park T4-6. Two Tough deTeaTs by Niskayuna and Draper closed The season. Mohonasen will miss The Tine performance oT seniors Roger Harrison and Bruce Wheeler lwho landed berThs on The All-CounTy Teaml, Bill Weismann, John WinTers, Bob Barr, Gary Lisiewski, Dan Saglimbeni, Dick Fazzone, and Bob Conger. However, nexT year's Team will have a sTrong nucleus in All-CounTy Tackle Paul Trinci, Fred ivlasTroianni, and Gary Mineconzo.
