D 1,2-3-4 1 4 x . . 2'3,4 I s 4 fl 1 HISTORY On September 12 1952 eleven eager freshmen Q 5 boys and 6 gxrlsj entered Mohawk After survwmg 1n1t1at1on we gave a return party to the sophomores Later that year Donald Brey Jomed our class to make us an even dozen Charlene Cooper was our class prlncess at the carn1val and John Meyers was her escort Our class advlsor was Mrs D1ckey When our sophomore year began we had only nme members havzng lost three We rema1ned the smallest class 1n the school ln1t1at1on was looked forward to th1s year because we had the rullng hand We d1d qulte well f1nanc1ally at the carn1val Our prmcess was Betty Jo Wall1ng and her escort was John Meyers We remamed the smallest class w1th our nlne members only th1s year we had lost Betty Woods and KarlynCarruthers had come to take her place The boys had the majorlty w1th f1ve members and from the food concesslon booth at all home games Our carnl val prlncess Betty Jo Wallmg was chosen Queen Her escort was John Meyers We also gave a class play The Groom Sa1d o whlch we cons1dered was qu1te good We also entertaxned the senlors w1th a very successful Junzor Senlor Prom and Banquet Our Senlor year we are st1ll the smallest class smce we have but e1ght members Our carn1val prmcess was Helen Wlghtman who was chosen Queen and her escort was Bruce Queen Thls year we were honored at the banquet gxven by the Jun1ors On May 25 1956 the e1ght anx1ous members rece1ved the1r long awa1ted dlplomas Although we are glad to graduate we can look back on our years at Mohawk and say we had a good t1me and we have benef1ted much IO i ! . 0 . . . . , ' I 9 .
