FF Hard at Work Mark Hayman was elected State Vice-President representing the North Central Section of Ohio. Mark, Dan McClain, Robert Lewis and Bruce Geary were recipients of the State FFA degree. Six FFA members participated in the State FFA Band and Chorus. Kathy Brouse was elected queen at the Annual Parent Sz Son Banquet. Mark Hayman was Star Chapter Farmer, and Bill Staib Star Green- hand. Gordon Scott won the National Sheep Shearing Contest and was lirst in the State FFA Livestock Judging Contest. The team of Gordon, Dan McClain, and Larry Pennington placed second. Henry Staib was second in the State Farm Mechanics Contest. The Land Judging team of Bruce Geary, Robert Lewis, and Dennis Grubel placed third in the state contest.

Among its activities were the observance of FHA Week, a county meet- ing at Carey, a County Style Show at Mohawk, the FHA State Convention held in Co- lumbus, and the Senior Fare- well. The Chapter works for the State Award of Merit by meet- ing certain requirements. Judy Swerline was accepted into the State FHA Chorus which per- formed at the Convention. Ac- cepting her State Homemaker Degree at the Convention in April was Kay Houdeshell. A sophomore member, Beverly Morter, ran for a state office.
