Dear Students: lt is only fitting that a message in our annual should contain a word of commendation to our annual staff who has worked assiduously in the preparation of this, your 1956 yearbook. I am certain that as the years go by and when you have opportunities to peruse the book, recalling pleasant memories, you will be increasingly appreciative of the fine work that has so obviously been done on this annual. So I should like to extend my heartiest congratulations to a very capable staff and to Mrs. Elsie Wingo, the annual sponsor, for a iob exceedingly well done. To the remainder of the student, body I should like to say, Thank you for the splendid cooperation you have given the staff and myself during this year. I have enioyed working with you immensely, and l should like to wish each of you complete success in all of your future under- takings. One word of admonition, however. Always remember that the principle of honesty, fair play, and good sportsmanship, the basic fundamentals upon which our democratic way of living has been established, should KENNETH P. SCHOONOVER-Ault, Colo.p A.B., M.A., Superintendent be paramount in your association with others. This, I feel, is of ex- treme importance at this time since there are numerous countries in our world that are ruled in a very despotic manner by so called advocates of the better way of life, who are continually striving to eliminate our democracy. Therefore, all of us must work to show those who live under the bonds of totalitarians that our way is far superior. Very truly yours, KENNETH P. SCHOONOVER Superintendent DONALD L. DAVIS-Winfield, Iowa, B.A., M.A., Principal, Student Council. Dear Students: Congratulations to the annual staff for a fine iob of preparing the 1956 annual. I am sure that your efforts will keep alive many happy experi- ences for MCHS students in the years to come. To the graduating class of 1956 I extend my best wishes for a most successful future. The young people of today face a future which will challenge their best effort and leadership. l hope your years in MCHS have helped to make the problems which lie ahead a bit easier to solve. May all of the years ahead be pleasant ones. Sincerely, DON DAVIS Principal AVDMINISTRATIQN AND MOFFAT COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BOARD - Back row: Marion Jones, Treasurerp Ken- neth Schoonover, Donald Van Tassel. Front row: Dean Myers.
