CLASS MEMORIES Of the fifty nrne students rn the Class of 47 at least srxteen started school together rn the first grade Kenneth Teter Paul Talkrng ton Andy Peroulrs Dean Vrsrntarner Chuck Clrne Mrck McAnally Ivan Wymore Kath leen Myers Patty Eberle une Irrck Marce lrne Bordeaux Vrrgrnra Barrrck Shrrley udd Montre Prather Marran Morrrs and Pat Mur phy were among the scared throng who en tered school together But they drdnt stay scared very long and the good trmes began such a lot of fun as we have had these past 12 years' Do you remember the trme when Andy brought Katre hrs lrttle black and whrte goat to school? That must have been the same year that Pat and Chucky got rnto a marble game Pat won all Chucks marbles and poor Chucky went home cryrng The boys all wanted to stay rn the second grade because Mrss Wrlson let us krss her good bye every nrght Those were the good ole days when we had a cowboy gang wrth a ruff tuff leader called Buck jones otherwrse known as Kate Myers In the thrrd grade Chucky rntroduced a new harr style now famrlrar to all as the How the lrttle grrls lrked to feel hrs head' The brrthday partres were a brg thrrll rn those days wrth Kenny Dean and Chuck the only boys who had the courage to come wrth all the lrttle grrls CFCW Clit The fourth grade remrnds us of the trme Mrss Forsberg gave her class hardtack and water and the krds rn Mrss Merrrtts room were so envrous One day Ivan grabbed Kates bracelet After school une Marcy Pat and Kate were wartrng for hrm Poor Ivan well the bracelet wasnt hrs anyway Paul Montre and Kenny were the meanest lrttle krds they used to drown lrttle squrrrels out of therr homes so they could have some ets And now we have rn thrs corner Marce lrne rn the other Beulah The fight ended wrth the first round Beulah the wrnnah Marcy got a souvenrr though a scar We had more fights rn those days' One day Pat was berng prcked on by that Beulah agarn Marcy went to the rescue ah Marcy the wrnnah Bee has a scar' We all looked forward to our annual class prcnrcs at jumper Sprrngs Remember the prcture june made when she was drvrng one hand holdrng her nose and the other held hrgh rn the arr so we could see where she splashed We had a great many enter tarnments partrcularly rn the srxth grade For rnstance there was the trme two of the grrls sang the Woodpecker Song some what lrke thrs He rs up each mornrng brrght and early ha' ha' ha' Such grgglers' That was the day Helen sang The Old Chrs holm Trarl I have an rdea she strll remem bers that Then came the era of the Dead End Krds Sprt Tony and Brll They used to hrde on the shelves of the closet durrng gym perrod and the teachers never drd find out where they were untrl Mr Nelson locked the door one day thrnkrng the closet was empty They had a terrrble trme explarnrng when they frnally drd get out That was the year that Mrss Babbrtts boy frrend showed us the prctures taken at Frsh Creek Falls and couldnt cut the film off qurte soon enough to delete certarn embarrassrng parts Our numbers have steadrly rncreased dur rng unror and Senror Hrgh School and we have all had a good trme together There was the prcnrc at the rrxer when we were seventh graders Everybody enjoyed the lunch except the teachers they were too busy roundrng us up And werent the boys mad that year because they couldnt go to the Tournament at Mt Harrrs' When jean Dem sey came to school rn the seventh grade we ound out that she got her good taste rn clothrng by playrng wrth paper dolls and desrgnrng doll clothes A new frrendshrrp began to blossom when oAnne and Carolyn met each other and today they are strll best of frrends Frontz were chosen as our outstandrng grrl and boy Mr Hull was our Freshman sponsor and Englrsh teacher None of us wrll forget the nrght before the Glenwood game when we Froshres had to get the fuel for the bonfire' Everyone enjoyed the class prcnrc at Frsh Creek Falls under our Sophomore sponsor Mrss Wanczyk and the Sock Party of that same year In our unror year our class put on an outstandrng assembly program wrth the help of our sponsor Mrss Floyd We also hrgh lrghted our year wrth an rnnova tron unror Senror Sneak Day Krnd of though we ought to share that wrth the Senrors just as we do the unror Senror Ban quet We found out however that rt wasn t such a popular rdea We have rnstrtuted a new custom rn Hrgh School thrs year Annual Frosh Day and we hope rt wrll become a school tradrtron By the way does everybody remember Brll Drapers wrggly fake bug?
