May they continue to have the welfare of their children uppermost in their hearts and minds. The education of youth for effective twentieth century living is a dif- ficult and complex process. We know that this community will make every effort to meet the challenge of providing the proper tools of learning in the years to come. LM, - -Q My 3 l Class Will of I958 We, the class of 1958, on this 24th day of May, in the town of Modale, county of Harrison, state of Iowa, being of strong body, do hereby submit our last will and testament. We bequeath to the Iuniors our business ability to aid them in getting out of any financial difficulties they may encounter: our lucky number and our ol' black magic we use to put the teachers and other students under our spell. To the Sophomores, we leave our taste in colors and our superior knowledge. We will to the Freshmen our ability to get along with each other and the faculty. We leave to our teachers our sincere thanks for the knowledge they have tried to impart to us. To our superintendent our gratitude for the many thankless jobs he has done for us as friend and teacher. We bequeath to the History of Modale High, a record of our many and varied talentsp where we will always be remembered as the class without a schoolhouse! Our Personal Bequests Are as Follows: John - wills his pole-vaulting ability to La Verne Iackson and his 30 words per minute typing ability to his brother, Ierry. Karen - wills her gift of gab to Virginia Bugenhagen. Letha - her flying fingers at the keyboard to Lynda Glee Strain. Marilyn - wills her witty sense of humor to Kent Chandler. Robert W. - leaves his broad-jumping ability to Lyle Donnelson and to Larry Kirlin, his book of answers. Bob M. - leaves his ability to reach places on time to Don Robson and will sell his faulty alarm clock for a small sum! Nancy - leaves her height to Harriet, and hopes she will make good use of it in basketball. Margery - leaves her soprano voice and her quiet ways to Mike Dugdale. Cary - wills his cowboy boots to David Solliday and leaves to Ronnie Iohnson his mathematic ability. Donna - wills all her study halls and books to Dick Lewis. Terry - his crew cut to Don Robson and his height to Duane Neill. Chuck - leaves his suave blond handsomeness to Larry Conyers. Patty - wills to Ellen Graham her collection of earrings! When two attempts to show how crude her manners are, are unsuccessful, Aunt Fanny rigs a plan to make it appear as if Charlie was a thief.
