Senior Class Play OUT OF THE FRYING PAN Three young men and three young women are would-be actors and actresses in New York. They are desperately in need of a iob and try various ways to get a Broadway producer to witness their rehearsal of one of his hit plays. The producer's love of fine foods and his need of an extra cup of flour to make one of his unusual dishes leads to their introduction and also to complications hinting at murder. The land- lady and two cops have a part in bringing to a happy ending the great desire of these young people to be stage folk. The play takes place in an apartment in New York City, beginning with events on Friday afternoon and ending the following Sunday morning. Coburn, a successful business man turned politician ........ J.W. Turner First Cop, the intellectual type of policeman .................... K enith Newman Nelda Glyn Baird Junior Class Play M'LlSS lMy Western Missi Briefly this play is about a little mining town of Smith's Pocket in the Sierras. Here lives George Smith and his eighteen year old daughter, M'Liss. George Smith is known as Bummer , the town loafer, for about the only work he does is to work a small claim occasionally, believing that one day it will bring great wealth. The only one who shares his confidence is M'Liss. Unbeknown to George, a brother of his has died and left him a great fortune. Two schemers from the East arrive in Smith 's Pocket, who know of this fortune, and they plan to murder Smith. Smith is killed and the blame is placed on young John Grey, the school teacher. M'Liss is in love with this young school teacher. How M'Liss clears Grey from this charge and outwits the schemers makes this a thrilling and exciting play.
