MED. LAB The Medical Laboratory Assistant training program provides four quarters of training in the basic knowledge, skills and background information necessary for successful employment. The first two quarters of training are conducted in a well- equipped laboratory. Upon satisfactory completion of the first two quarters of classroom and laboratory training each student is assigned to a clinical training station for two additional quarters of training. During this period, the student practices selected phases of diagnostic laboratory procedures in all of the departments of the clinical laboratory.
