After performing several times over the air waves and entertaining at several social functions and assemblies, various vocal and instrumental groups from Senior High School entered the regional contest at Kimball on January 28. It was there that they earned the most fame as the brass ensemble, clarinet quartet, flute quartet, string trio, mixed ensemble, vocal soloist, and seven instru- mental soloists, all winning superior ratings, while the girls' ensemble received an excellent. Vocal groups of the glee club also competed in a music festival at Madison during the month of May and concluded the year's work with the baccalaureate and commencement programs on May 28.
