The Commerce The Commerce Club is organized as a corporation for the promotion of inter- est in business. The board of directors consists of the president, Asa Terry, the vice-president, Mary Elizabeth Brown, the secretary-treasurer, James Sherwood, and the head of each of the following departments: salesmanship, stenographic, typing, accounting, and general business. As shown on the mimeographed programs for the year, each department gives a program. The club invited guests for a Christmas party. The typing department of the club gave an assembly program showing the variations of rhythm in typing to popular music. Girls' Athletic Association The Girls, Athletic Association, under the direction of Miss Stroud, is made up of all girls taking part in the physical activity program of the school. The club had one hundred twenty-live members the tirst semester and one hundred live members the second semester. Its activity program was made up of basketball, baseball, volley ball, dodge ball, folk and square dancing, relays, ping-pong, bad- minton, shuffle-board, quoits, calisthenics, marching, indoor and outdoor games, stunts and some tumbling. During the year the club had three parties-a treasure hunt and chili supper in the fall, a Christmas party and a spring dance. All the girls belonging to the club the second semester gave a May Day program for the school and visitors from the town. PanfAmerican Club The Pan-American Club was organized for the third time this year. Tts activities have been devoted largely to cultivating an interest in Latin-American countries. As a special project club members sold tickets to the HGay Ninetiesl' show, which was given for the benefit of the visual aids program of our school.
