Thamesana, the Mitchell newspaper, is issued monthly by a very zealous stall. This stall is composed of students who volunteer their time to getting the news, editing, copywriting, proofreading and typing. The main objective of our newspaper is to provide the students and faculty with information about school personalities and activities. Every year the Thamesana stall sponsors the May Weekend. The staff works very arduously on this project, but the past success and enjoyment of this event proves their efforts to be worth while. j 1 '

In this way, all organizations are represented on the Council. The duties and activities of this organization are many. One of these duties is to exercise a general supervision over student activities. Another duty is to supervise all elections involv- ing the vote of the entire student body and all class elections. The Student Council publishes The Student Hand- book and any other publication that the administra- tion advises. They examine and make recommendations on all expenditures or appropriations of money to organi- zations with recognized budgets. The Student Council also sponsors the Snow Ball formal, which is usually held around the middle of December. This event is high lighted by the crown- ing of a freshman queen.
