An Open Letter to the Student Body of Missouri Valley College Dear Students , This book includes the activities of one of the finest years in the history of Missouri Valley College. It also includes the activities of the student body which was one of the finest of Missouri Valley College. Yes, we can look back with pride on the achievements of this year, 1958-'59, for it had its successes and its failures. However, the successes by far outnumber the failures which were not really such at all, for everything was undertaken with the true spirit of the Viking. Our athletic teams were of the finest quality and the players in all sports gave their best inthe spirit of true sportsmanship, Our dramatics and music students worked tremendously hard to make their presentations the finest. We can tell by the records that all the students worked especially hard on their studies, and the professors certainly went the extra mile in aiding us, The dormitory organizations and Greeks certainly did a fine job in backing every activity, adding greatly to the success of this year. Why? Because we are proud of Missouri Valley College and all for which it stands. We are proud of the prevailing VIKING SPIRIT and its innermost significance, Yes, we are proud because we have worked to gain something of which to be proud. It is exactly this sort of pride in our activites that made the year a successful one and fun for us to be a part. It certainly made the job of the Senate easier and the job of the officers a more enjoyable one. A hearty congratulations to you, the students, for your fine contributions. They will become only a part of Missouri Valley College in the annals of history, but they will be a significant part. Very sincerely yours , ,Liz Mori Chuck Bloczynski President, Student Senate
