ew gfaifcfingd While the Quadrangle remains as before the war, other parts of the cam- pus have undergone an emergency face- lifting. The large number of married veterans returning to Valley caused an acute housing shortage. The U. S. gov- ernment came to the rescue and donated seven housing units consisting of four apartments each. Work was begun on these units last summer and the vet- erans took occupancy in January. The twenty-eight families living in these units have chosen the name Valley Forge for their little community. The government also gave a new Stu- dent Union building to the school lnot picturedl. This building replaces the Pirate's Den and besides providing room for student recreation, the structure has several class lecture rooms.
