Mondale and Ferraro were nominated on the Democratic ticket at the party convention in San Francisco in July. Princess Diana gave birth to Prince Harry in late 1984. President Reagan won re-election with biggest electoral vote in the nation ' s history. He won 49 states with 49 per cent of the total vote.
