CERAMIC E GI EERI G Ceramics is the formation of products from non-metallic earthy materials by thermal changes. Ceramic engineer- ing today is experiencing a dynamic growth because of the need for prod- ucts such as special refractory mater- ials for rocket propulsion systems and nuclear reactors. The number of graduate students in Ceramic Engineering has doubled in the past year, and plans are being .made to accommodate a further in- crease.
