Biochemistry courses are open as electives to students at senior level who are interested. Enrollment in Chemistry has increased rapidly for five years and is at an all-time high. Chemical Engineering requirements have been increased in Engineering Science, Mathematics, Elec- trical Engineering, and use of digital analog computers. Additional space has been provided by providing wall to wall steel grating at four levels above the ground level in the well of the Unit Operations Laboratory, increasing department space for research and instruction.
