Mechanical Engineering Department M echanical engineering is that di- vision of the scientific world which in- cludes the generation, transmission, and utilization ol mechanical power These services are the products of research, design, and devel- opment. It is the object of the Mechan ical En- gineering Department to train men to perform these operations. After careful planning the M.E. Department has developed a curriculum designed to give the student a comprehensive training in the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering. The program is intended to be of practical use to him in almost any industry of his choosing. Specialization begins late in the student ' s career, after his life ' s work is deter- mined AARON f.
