S INCE its origin as part of the Physics Department, Electrical Engineering has become an increas- ingly important part of the curriculum at M.S.M. The first degree in Electrical Engineering was granted in 1917, when it was still a part of the Physics De- partment. In 1924, a separate department of Electrical Engineering was established.
