S INCE its origin as part of the Physics Department, Electrical Engineering has become an increas- ingly important part of the curriculum at M.S.M. The first degree in Electrical Engineering was granted in 1917, when it was still a part of the Physics De- partment. In 1924, a separate department of Electrical Engineering was established. The theory learned in the classroom is used in the laboratory which presents fundamental electric test- ing methods, as well as habits of accurate observa- tion and experience in the preparing of technical re- 1 [ i , u $ What next? sf FT HE field of Chemical Engineering is the most diversified of all fields of engineering. A grad- uate Chemical Engineer is qualified to assume a position in a large number of industries, such as: those manufacturing dyes, explosives, petroleum products, etc. The majority of the graduates in this curriculum find work in the laboratory, pilot plant, development, design, construction, plant operation, technical sales and administration, or enter the teach- ing profession. The completion, this past fall, of the Chemical Engineering Building has greatly added to the facilities already at hand. WALTER T.
