The Department is divided into the following curricula: Mining Engineering, whch is composed of Metal Min- ing, Coal Mining, and Mining Economics: Min- ing Geology, which consists of Metal Mining and Petroleum: and Petroleum Engineering. The construction of the new Mining Building and the remodeling of the Mechanical Hall has greatly increased the facilities of the Depart- ment. At the monthly meetings, prominent members of the industry present lectures concerning the latest developments in their respective fields.
