urtis L. Wilson Dean Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy Dr. Curtis L. Wilson became Dean oi the Missouri School of Mines in 1941. During this time he has done an excellent job of increasing the merits ot M.S.M. Under his leadership the school has secured a new power plant, an addition to the Chemical Engineering Building, and a new dormitory for the students. Work has also been started on an engineering laboratory building, Dean Wilson received his E.M. in 1920 at the Montana School of Mines and his Ph.D. in 1928 at the University ot Goettingen. l-le was a professor at the Montana School of Xi - A Mines prior to the time he came to M.S.M. Dean Wilson is a member of the American Institute of Mining and Metal- lurgical Engineers and is now one of the A.1.M.E. Board of Directors and chairman of Mineral lndustry Educa- tional Division. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Engi- neers anol is serving as chairman of the society's committee on education. S1merrIz.' Speech! Page Fifteen

Rex Z. Williams Assistant Dean Dean Williams and his office staff are asked to perform many services related to the Welfare of the undergraduate student. Freshmen are in- troduced to the school by the orientation pro- grams under his supervision. Also under his direction are student counseling services, the scholarship committee, coordination of extra- curricular activities, and the presentation ot cer- tain scholarships and awards. Graduating seniors are thankful for his excellent work as director of the job placement service. Although his responsibilities as Assistant Dean are numerous, Dean Williams is also chairman ot the Mechanics Department. Here his superior teaching ability has made him a student favorite. A Page Sixteen oel Hubbard Registrar The problems of the Registrar are fast chang- ing as the expansion of the school takes place. Mr. Hubbard's twenty-seven years of experi- ence with the school have given him the judg- ment necessary to provide sound guidance to students at our growing institution. A headline in the MISSOURI MINER heralding registration at the beginning of the second semester an- nounced, Ma Hubbard Opens Cupboard Tues- day. This part ot Mr. Hubbard's responsibili- ties is an important feature in the smooth opera- tion of the school. Mr. l'lubbard's genuine interest in the prob-l lems of each ot the many students who come to him for advice has given him the sincere re-l spect that he deserves. l
