Sets and Costumes -' A X Q ? Q Honcc Upon a Mattress The fifth year for Tent Theater workers meant not only the privileges of belonging to the company, but also the hard work needed for exceptional pro- ductions. Applications for Tent Theater are avail- able to anyone no matter where he attends school, if he has an interest in theater productions or act- mg. Each year the Missouri Council of Arts provide an amount of funds for bringing to the Theater profes- sional actors and actresses, to intensify the involve- ment of new actors and audiences in the variety of productions presented. An attempt is made to present one broadway light comedy, one classic, and two musicals per season. This is accomplished in the space of thirty-four per- formances during the summer. Through the past four years thousands of people have enjoyed Tent Theater productions. Summer tent productions enjoyed during the '67 season were George Bernard Shaw's Misalliance , Neil Simonis popular Broadway comedy '4Baref0ot in the Park , and two musicals Oh, What a Lovely War by Joan Littlewood and others, and Once Upon a Mattress by Mary Rodgers.
