Whatever the artist might discover, he can use to delight the eye and spark the imagination of the viewer. Dishman, head. 37 Biology The strangest things go through the mail room on the way to the Biology department. Cans of worms - boxes of frogs - crates of turtles - all destined to aid in the departmental study of the secrets of life. Lec¬ tures, individual study and research prepare the student for secondary teaching, employment on the operative level in an organization, and leadership in industry. The de¬ partment incorporates the use of video taped teaching episodes for self-evaluation, obser¬ vation of classroom techniques, and a Profes¬ sional semester of teaching in area schools. 52 53 The P.E. Department offers a full program of health and recreation courses, as well as in¬ tercollegiate varsity competition.
