HOMECOMING BRINGS BACK THE OLD WEST After much anticipation, the big day fin- ally arrived. Each club hastily applied the finishing touches to their entry-some just minutes before the start of the parade. As the parade slowly inched its way down Main Street, the entire town joined the college students in giving the team a big send-off. That night the Lions could be nothing but victorious. They triumphed over Haskell Institute 37 to 7. After the game, a dance held in honor of the Home- coming Queen and her court climaxed the weekend. Although students worked hard to meet deadlines on research papers and exams, they took time out to capture the holiday mood. Introducing the winter season, the Crossroads Ball added gaiety to the festivities while service organizations such as Circle K and YWCA contributed to the spirit by sponsoring projects for the underprivileged.
