Student Cabinet The Student Cabinet sponsored the Crientation Program and in conjunction with the YWCA planned th-e Crientation Mixer. The cabinet is composed of a representative of each college society, each college publication, and the presidents of the sophomore and the freshman classes. It functions as a service committee during summer months, supervises elections in the fall, and acts in an ad' visory capacity to the president of the senate. ' President ..,..,.. ........ The Senators are elect-ed by the student body through a system of proportional representations, and this year's Senate consists of seven soph-omores and thirteen freshmen. 'They were the hosts to a convention of student senates and student councils from the junior colleges of the TrifState area. The Student Senate also published a college directory, The Lion's Tracks, revised the junior college constitution, sponsored a Valentine dance and the Homecoming parade and dance, and the election of a Homecomf ing Queen. Faculty sponsors are Miss Eula Ratekin and Dean Thomas Flood. 'ONE

Miss Dorothy Stone is chairman ofthe faculty sponsors. The major activities of the Alumni Association include the planning of the annual homecoming, the publishing of the Ioplin Iunior College Alumni Bulletin, and the sponsoring of the annual Alumni' Student Spring Banquet.
