This name was selected by student ballots in honor of Dean Blaine. dean of the college since its establishment in 1938Q By choosing this name, the students of Joplin Junior College showed their appreciation to a man who has given faithful service to the interests and welfare of the college. The three-story brick building is located adjacent to the college building at the corner of Fifth and Byers. On the top floor are the Chart oflice. the Crossroads office, and a classroom: the main floor consists of a cafeteria and dining room.
