Groenewoud, Gerry Osterland, Jerry Gardner, Kenneth Kloos, Royal Diedrichs, Dee Mott, Mark McKee and Dean es The usual fighting spirit of the Colonels proved itself exceptionally fine when the maroon and gold eleven fought its way to one of the best seasons in many years and also returned the golden football to its rightful home. This season the Colonels finished with a 3-4-l record. Led by Major Joe Bailey, the Colonels developed rapidly, although handicapped by a light back field and few returning lettermen. The eleven developed power, deception, perfect timing and the valuable cooperation needed between coach and player, enabling them to give us performances such as we had never seen before. Through our eyes each of these football boys is a hero upon whom we could not heap enough praise. l959 Record Lettermen Bromberg, Colloca, Arthur imgr.J, Connelly, Doering, Dye, E., Dyer, Evans, Freund, Gartung, M'M-A W-M4A- Gilchrist, Harris, R., Iverson fmgrl, M-M-A K-M5 Jarnagin, Kennedy, Kinsey, M-MA Pfl lClDla Mclntire, Martin, Lombardi Cmgr.l, M-M-A PalmYVa Meyer, Mott, Murphy, J., imgrl, MVM-A COUNTY Dat' Prince, Scheller, Sesler, M-M-A MCCOOGY Sullivan, L.
