Happenings Just in case you haven’t gotten the picture yet, a lot of things hap- pen at The Valley. They happen because the staff, administration, faculty and students make them happen. When our students and graduates make outstanding achievements we are the first to acknowledge them. 125

We have to leave out a lot of things, like P, for pageant. We host several pageants and fashion shows through- out the year. Or K, for Karate. You can take a course in it to work toward the black belt. Or S, for singing. If that is your forte, you can partici- pate in one of nearly a dozen organized groups on campus. N, for nightlife, is also left out. If you can’t find a satisfying nightlife on campus, Mem- phis, Tennessee the entertainment of the country, is about two hours drive, so is Jackson, the state’s capital.
