Editors Message The long and difficult task of completing the 1977 Delvian has come to an end. Indeed, it took a lot of hard work, time, and energy, but finally a dream of hope became a reality. The 1977 Delvian reminds us of many cherished memories — the joys, sorrows, and sur- prises that happened during the past year. We have attempted to capture, in pictures and words, some of the moments that may have made the year special at Mississippi Valley State University. | wish to express sincere gratitude to the staff and section editors who alleviated much of the work that had to be done. Special thanks and appreciation to Miss Hattie Jenkins, Advi- sor, and Mr. Floyd Bailey, Photographer, for their assistance — without their immobile initi- ative the Delvian would not have been completed. My sincere thanks also goes to Mrs. M. E. Fingal, Director of Development Services, for her moral support — a much needed asset in the production of this yearbook.
