OUR PRESIDENT DR. D. W. COLVARD Completing his third year as University President, Dr. Colvard has become a symbol of the progress and advancement of Mississippi State University. While retaining the hallowed traditions and customs of the University, Dr. Colvard has launched a program of progress and prosperity for Mississippi State. All around the campus can be seen the many new build- ings going up in one stage or another. A few of these are the new Chemistry Building, the New Student Union Building, the New Women ' s dorm, and the New Married Students ' apartments. ■
