DEDICATION . . . Another year at Mississippi State College has passed into history. But it will not be forgotten as it was the object of the REVEILLE staff to compile for you a tangible record of this fleeting moment. An album of friend, an outline of activities, and a thessaurus of memories all within one cover. But this is not the first time this task has been undertaken and completed for this, the 1955 edition, is the 50th Volume of the REVEILLE. Forty-nine men, over the years have given of their time, talent and efforts to provide a true reflection of college days at Mississippi State College. It is to these 49 Editors that we, the 1955 REVEILLE staff, dedicate this 50th edition.

EXAMS These little pop quizzes bring bloodshot eyes from burning midnight oil and cram- ming ... or from too many trips to cross- roads for just one more beer to study on ... A big shout from those seniors lucky enough to be exempt . . . An evil look in the Prof ' s eyes . . . Hell Raising in the halls ... A rush on at the woodpile ... a rise in sale of cigarettes and coffee . . . Farewell parties . . . Graduation . . . And the close of another semester --to some the last. Dr. Snellgrove believes in comfort while he lectures. I ' ve always heard it and now I know it ' s true if you drop your pencil in Snellgrove ' s class, you flunk the course. His lectures run around six pages a day. but everyone who takes his courses likes him, in- cluding me. Some people study (?) in the oddest positions. Take JoAnne for instance, do you think she ' s studying much? By the way, check that Hurricane glass on the table. You been to Big N. O., JoAnne? What ' s he suppose to be doing?? Is he reading in- structions on tennis, counting the weeks until exam week, or going to polish his shoes? That ' s the way most students study, on the run.
