The School of Education, organized in 1936, gives careful consideration to those preparing to teach and to those already in the field. While most of the attention during the reg- ular session is given to pre-service training, the summer sessions major attention is di- rected to a program of graduate work for those in service. Dean Weems, keeping a sharp interest in the welfare of his stu- dents, is always happy to give his expert advice to all who seek it.

i The School of Engineering comprises the depart- ments of Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineer- ing, Drawing, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. The School of Engi- neering and the School of Business and Industry offer a joint five-year course leading to a Bachelor ' s degree in one of these majors — Civil, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering — and Busi- ness Administration. In addition, the School makes use of many other departments of the College to make it one of the most outstanding Engineering Schools in the nation. Dean Flinch is Dean of the Engineering School. The students in the School of Engineering are enjoying using the new Patterson annex which was named in honor of L. L. Patterson, Dean Emeritus of the School of Engineering.
