ZJke PRESIDE 70 THE CLASS OF 952; Your diploma from Mississippi State College symbolizes an end- ing and a beginning. It signifies completion of on important phase of your life, a job well done. It represents a solid foundation upon which you may build a productive and happy adulthood. I challenge you to accept the full responsibility that now rests upon your shoulders as an Ameri- can college graduate. I say to you in all sincerity that graduation from Mississippi State College is a DR. FRED T. MITCHELL high honor created by your own efforts and by the people of Mississippi who make possible the operation of this institu- tion. You will find life much more worth while for having studied here with the diligence you have exhibited. Wher- ever you go, your community and your acquaintances will look to you for leadership, both in your chosen career and in civic affairs. Two generations of graduates before you have proved that the educational program conducted on this campus, when coupled with men and women of spirit and determination, is sufficient to produce greatness in any field of human endeavor. Keep before you always the fact that the period of learn- ing in your life is not confined to college days but is a con- tinuous process.
