DEAN OF EDUCATION Dean B. P. Brooks has headed the Education School since 1940 and to him goes much credit for the expansion of Mississippi State ' s curricula. In his years as Dean he has greatly advanced the scope and standing of his de- partment. Dean Brooks is a great favorite with the students as well as a capable, conscientious, and efficient leader. Dean B. P. Brooks SCHOOL OF EDUCAT The School of Education, organized in 1936, offers courses in the following fields: Agricultural Education, General Education, Physical Education and Coaching, Industrial Education, and Adult Education. Careful con sideration is given both to those preparing to teach and to those already in the field. While most of the attention during the regular session is given to pre-service training, the summer sessions major attention is directed to a program of graduate work for those in service. The School of Education enjoys the status of full equality with other schools of the College. Its graduates meet all the requirements of the State Board of Examiners for a Life Professional License. Its standards satisfy all the require- ments of the Mississippi High School Accrediting Commission for teachers in the secondary fields. Student Council Representatives, Yeatman and Dunaicaij

GRADUATE DEAN OF GRADUATE SCHOOL Dr. Herbert Drennon, Dean of Graduate School, has helped in the development of a sound graduate program. The college makes available 810,000 for scholarships and assistantships each year. The college now has several well-staffed departments for doing graduate work and every effort is to be made to bring that fact to the attention of prospective graduate students. Dr. Drennon has added graduate courses in several departments with the idea ever in mind of attracting more and more graduate students to the campus. Dr. Drennon is to be commended for a job well done. Herbert Drennon The Graduate School headed by Dean Drennon has established a record of very high standards within the School. The utilities that are available— libraries, laboratories, land, livestock, experiment stations, plus other advantages aid the development of well-trained students. The courses leading to the degree of Master of Science are many. For example, there are courses in Natural Sci- ences, Agriculture, Business and Industry, and Education. It is easy to see that State College is doing its utmost to fit boys and girls for their future positions in our world of tomorrow. ' The Last Mile. '
