Dean Frank Welch Associate Dean E. B. Colmer SCHOOLOFAGR Under the direction of Dean Frank Welch and Associate Dean E. B. Colmer, the School of Agriculture has steadily improved its curriculum and organization, as well as its laboratory and teaching facilities throughout the years. These two men, always with the interests of their students in mind, have continuously set and maintained the highest pos- sible standard of learning. All their energies have been directed toward making the School of Agriculture not only one of the most specialized departments of this college, but also one of the leading schools of its type in the nation. Students in their school know them not only as teachers and advisors but also as friends. They always find time to help a student, though the burden of administrative duties rests on their shoulders. L. L. Patterson DEAN of ENGINEERING Under the leadership of Dean L. L. Patterson, the Engi- neering School at Mississippi State has steadily progressed until it is now recognized as an outstanding school of its type in the nation. Dean Pat is the head of the largest school on the campus, and he is doing his job well. He also serves as Head of the Department of Electrical Engi- neering. SCHOOL OF The School of Engineering comprises the departments of Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drawing, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. The School of Engineering and the School of Business and Industry offer a joint five-year course leading to a Bachelor ' s degree in one of these majors— Civil, Me- chanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering— and Business Administration. In addition, the School makes use of many other departments of the College to make it one of the most outstanding Engineering Schools in the nation. The curricular has been recently revised so as to extend the already existing policy that the courses be principally basic. This is in line with recommendations of the Committee on Engineering of the American Society for Engineering Education. Student Council Representatives, Bates, Phillips, Garner, and Cherry.
