Hull Hall SCHOOL 0 AGRICLLTURE Dean Frank Welch As Dean of the School of Agriculture, Dr. Frank Welch is one of the busiest men at Mis- sissippi State. His many duties in the Experi- ment Station also take up much of his time. Being at the helm of the school for which State is called Cow College is not an easy job and Dr. Welch handles it with the great- est efficiency. Practically a newcomer at State, Dr. Welch has established for himself and for the School of Agriculture an excellent record which we are justly proud of. Dean E. B. Cohner Associate Dean of the School of Agriculture, that ' s Dean Colmer. If you want to drop Chemistry Dean Colmer will gladly sit you down and give you kind words of advice and diplomatically tell you that you cannot grad- uate in the Ag ' School without that Chem- istry. Possessing a wide knowledge of the field of agriculture. Dean Colmer began his tour as Dean of the School of Agriculture in 1938 and has been a strong supporter of that school for many years.

Dean L. L. Patterson Dean Patterson is director of the second largest department at Mississippi State, the Engineering School. Suffering from a severe lack of space for the type of instruction the school wishes to give, the Engineering School, under Dean L. L. Patterson, is sending many fine young men out into the new fields of industry in this Great State of Mississippi as well as in the technical fields all over the country. Dean Clay Lijle ». PE SSSfSPMMHHi SCHOOL i SCIENCE The Science School at Mississippi State is ably headed by Dr. Clay Lyle, who is now in his third year as its Dean. Before assuming such a responsibility, Dr. Lyle served as a member of the faculty as a Professor of Entomology and Zoology. He received his B. S. here at Mississi Dpi State in 1917 and also his MS in 1931. His Ph.D. came while he was at Iowa State. He is truly a favorite with the students of Science and with all those who deal with him.
