Dr. Fred T. Mitchell Tke PRESIDENT Immediately after Dr. Fred Tom Mitchell took over the reins of Mississippi State the rush of students came back from the war and State College began its greatest expansion program. It has taken a great man to understand the needs and which of them must be met first and Dr. Mitchell has done a very fine job of calculating and working out the problems of both the students and the college. The efforts of liis work on the buildings and grounds are just showing up and we can very readily ascer- tain that through his untiring efforts our College will soon be one of the finest in the Nation in looks as well as in Spirit. We salute Dr. Mitchell for his ability to work out our differences and help us to prepare ourselves for the future. 14
