SlriSSiS Si ' ' SCHODL „ AGRICULTURE The School of Agriculture, one of the original schools of the old Mississippi A. M., includes the following departments: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Administration, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Ani- mal Husbandry, Dairy Husbandry, Horticulture, Poultry Husbandry, and Forestry. Courses offered in this School are designed to prepare men for the practical affairs of life, for scientific in- vestigation in the various fields of agriculture, for teachers in high schools and colleges, for service in the United States Department of Agriculture, and for various types of business where an extensive knowledge of scientific agriculture will be of great value. Instruction in the various departments is divided among field work, classroom, and laboratory. The Experi- ment Station and Extension Department provide experimental plots, herds, greenhouse, and poultry plant for practical work, and laboratories are available to every department. Travelling in great strides, the School of Agriculture is pressing closer and closer to its goal of making better agriculturists of Mississippians. 30
