THE DEAN S. P. BRDDKS To Dean B. P. Brooks, Dean of the School of Education and Director of Instruction, goes much credit for the expansion of Mississippi State ' s curricula. In his years as Dean he has greatly advanced the stand- ing of his department. Capable, conscientious, and efficient in carrying out the duties of his office. Dean Brooks is a popular and esteemed man at State. DEAN HERBERT DRENNEN Dean of the Graduate School and Pro- fessor of English, Dr. Herbert Drennon also serves on the Board of Publications. His understanding of Student problems and his eagerness to help have made him a well- liked man at State. Dr. Drennon is a brilliant lecturer, a keen literary analyst, and a competent Dean, and his efforts toward bettering the Graduate School have been rewarded. DEAN L. L. PATTERSON Dean L. L. Patterson, head of Mississippi State ' s largest school, the School of Engi- neering, serves also as the Head of the De- partment of Electrical Engineering. His untiring efforts have led to the college ' s de- veloping highly quahfied engineers, and his steadiness and efficiency have made him respected and admired by all who know him.

Major I. D. Sessums MAJOR SESSUMS Another man entwined in the his- tory of Mississippi State for over fifty years in Major I. D. Sessums, Dean of Men and Head of Student Personnel. The Major has had one of the tough- est jobs on the Campus the past year in being responsible for campus hous- ing of Students. A fair disciplinarian, a gentleman always, Major Sessums is an outstanding personahty to all who know him. ADMINISTRATION MR. MALLDRY Mr. L. F. Mallory, Comptroller of Mississippi State, is charged with the responsibility of balancing the College budget and handling receipts and dis- bursements.
