Jnder Mr. Foley ' s direction the Voc-Tecli has expanded, opening up lany new programs from which the MDJC student can choose. Mr. Charles Preston Foley, Jr., who has his BS and his Masters in Industrial Education from Mississippi State I ' niversity, has been identified as the MDJC ocational-T e chnical Director for twenty years. Since he joined the staff, the Vocational-Technical Program has expanded from a department that offered three technical programs into a department that now offers nine technical programs and nine vocational programs and a full schedule of adult vocational training at night. He is also active in civic affairs and has served on the town board. Dr. Percy H. Stephen is an instructor who has given nineteen years of loyal service to this institution as head of the Business Department. He is the first member of the MDJC faculty to hold a Doctorate degree. Dr. Stephen has his BS from Delta State and Masters and Doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi in Business Education. 29 I

We, the RETROSPECT Staff of 1972, dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Charles P. Foley, Jr. and Dr. Percy H. Stephen. Both have been continuously interested in the development of MDJC students. Both have performed many deeds for the benefit of the student body at MDJC. The students of these men have gained insight and knowledge because of their associations with them. Both have been involved in e.xtra curricular activities that were designed to develop the student as a complete individual. Dr. Stephen has been recognized as the first MDJC faculty membei to earn a Doctorate.
