student council The Board of Trustees are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors for a four year term. President Hall meets with the board once each month to discuss school policies and regulations. Jack Harper, Jr. is the Chairman of the Board. During the past year MDJC has shown noticeable growth and development. The physical appearance of the campus has changed with the addition of the lake, the new men ' s dormitory, the library-learning resource center and the fine Arts-Administration complex. ' VANDIVER The Student Council is the backbone of student government association at Mississippi Delta Junior College. The main duties of the Student Council are to uphold and execute the constitution, and to study in an orderly and democratic tnanner all matters pertaining to student life and student problems on campus. Leaders are elected annually by popular vote of the student body. This year ' s officers of the Student Council were Bobby Bassi, President: Sheila Giardina, Vice-President ; and Marsha Morphis, Secretary-Treasurer.
