Dorothy Oldham Reigns Over On the football field at 7:45 October 16, 1965, Mississippi Delta Junior Col- lege celebrated its annual Homecoming festivities. The presentation of the Homecoming Court and the coronation of the 1965-66 Homecoming Queen, Miss Dorothy Oldham, took place prior to the football game against Itawamba. Also, the former queens since 1955 were introduced at this time. After the football game in which Delta defeated Itawamba 31-13, a reception in the Tro- jan Shield was given for the alumni, faculty, and students. Almost every night of the previous week students had a chance to build up their school spirit and to display their eagerness for a victory on the football field. Monday night led the way with a pep rally and jukebox dance. Students again displayed their loyalty to the school and the team with a bonfire and pep rally Tuesday night. Thursday afternoon there was a home- coming pageant in the auditorium dur- ing which the name of the queen was announced. To climax that day ' s activi- ties, Trojans danced to the music of the Lancers at the National Guard Armory. Miss Dorothy Oldham UOMECOMING ROYALTY; Maids: Sandra Little, Man . „mc.s.
