LaCelle Livingston with modest dignity and calm content upheld and contributed to the standards set for the student of MDJC. She served on the Retrospect stafT for two years as Editor-in- Chief. Her activities were numerous. As a member of the band, she served first as a Deltette and next as a Delta Doll. She sang in the chorus two years and sang in the Trojanettes sextet her first year. She also acted in Our Town . A natural leader, LaCelle served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Stu- dent Council. She merited membership in Phi Theta Kappa her freshman and sophomore years, and was elected Most Versatile girl in the Who ' s Who election. LaCelle Livingston — where did one not see her? She served both students and teachers in every capacity. She knew almost everyone and greeted them with her quiet hello and friendly, shy smile. For LaCelle Livingston ' s dedication and devotion to every phase of MDJC, her name goes down in the 1965 Hall of Fame. LaCELLE LIVINGSTON HALL OF FAME DIANNE MURPHEY The most manifest sign of wisdom is a continual cheerfulness. A felicitous smile never left her face. A fierce determination never left her mind. A love of everything lovable distinguished Ruth Dianne Mur- phey and contributed to her delightful, sometime serious uniqueness. Dianne was a member of both the stage and concert bands. She. served as chorus accompanist two years and sang in the Trojanettes sextet her freshman year. Other activities include her being a member of Wesley two years, serving as its president her sopho- more year. Dianne was chosen to receive the Music award her freshman year, and was elected Most Talented gir l her sopho- more year. She was granted Phi Theta Kappa membership both years. Ruth Dianne Murphey, for her portrayal of ambition, talent, and honesty, takes her designated place in the 1965 Hall of Fame.
