A NEW ERA The 1964 RETROSPECT attempts to cap- ture the highlights of every well-deserved event of the year — academic, social, and re- ligious. We, as students, faculty, and staff, have every reason to be proud of our col- lege. Academically, we are attaining top rating; religiously, MDJC has organizations to give spiritual guidance, and socially, we can boast of a well-rounded program of ac- tivities. IN QUALIFIED INSTRUCTION From its beginning in 1926, Mississippi Delta Junior College has achieved distinction among the junior colleges of the state. Its academic life has progressed to a superior point. The instructors are well trained in their specific fields and make learning and education a living experience. With the addition of art, an electronics department, a language laboratory, and a full-time counselor, new faculty members, of course, have been added. The progress of the school and its qualified instruction has resulted in a steadily growing enrollment. The quality and applied education of the students, as individuals, will determine the success of our ALMA MATER, our state, and our country. 5
