WE WOULD LIKE TO SHOW OUR ! Pride — it seems such a small word at a glance, yet it can do so very much to aid in the growth of a college. There are many individuals and organizations on our campus which have given us the right to say, this is OUR college and we ' re proud of it. But be- fore anyone can say, we are proud to present the Mississippi Delta Junior College Band and Deltettes, there must be many sacrifices, many hours of practice; there must be a director completely dedicated to his work, one who is capable of gaining the full cooperation of the members. In appreciation of this group and their leader, we, the members of the RETROSPECT staff, dedicate to the band, to the Deltettes and to their direc- tor, Joe Abrams, the 1964 RETROSPECT. lO

SCHOOL SPIRIT As M.D.J.C. moves forward, it Is easy to see her intended role In the edu- cation of the youth of the Delta. Other things connprise college life, however, and as Mississippi Delta continues to develop, all other phases of college life must hurry to catch up. School Spirit also grows as the students begin to participate in more and more events, whether it is a dance, a tea, or rescuing a cat from the roof of the Girls ' Dorm.
