LIBRARY mm ilK JUNIOR COUTGI The Retrospect of 1956 Presented by The Annual Staff of Sunflower Junior College and Agricultural High School. Moorhead, Mississippi What ' cha trying to prove, son? This ain ' t Notre Dame, boys! Come on, Blackdog, you weren ' t running. Come on, men, let ' s hustle! Although he says he isn ' t Newt Rockne, S. J. C. is as much in- debted to Coach Randall as Notre Dame was to Newt. Coach Randall is a man of fine Christian character and one who believes there is always room for improvement. He gives his time unreservedly and sees that his players always get the best. To the coach who led his team to victory over Hinds; to the gentleman with the soft-spoken Southern drawl, and to the man who is helping to make a better S. J. C. , we of the 1956 Retrospect Staff are happy to dedicate this annual to our own coach, James B, Randall, Jr. ATION S. J.C 6 TO THE STUDENTS Sunflower Junior College and Agricultural High School, located in the Town of Moor- head, Mississippi, famous for the fact that here the Southern Crosses the Dog, has through the years striven to meet the needs of the boys and girls of this area. Since 1911, the Agricultural High School, and since 1926, the Junior College, has been contributing to the cultural and educational life of the Mississippi Delta. It is the purpose of Sunflower Junior College and Agricultural High School to aid the student in achieving a meaningful life by providing him the opportunity to develop accord- ing to his ability, physically, socially, aesthetically, intellectually, morally and spirit- ually. We believe this purpose is being achieved in a very fine way. The students who have attended Sunflower Junior College and Agricultural High School are achieving success in many fields of endeavor. Many of the graduates have achieved success in the areas of medicine, science, politics, agriculture, and engineering. To those of you who go forth as graduates of this institution this spring, it is the hope of the Board of Trustees and Faculty that you will continue to achieve success, that you will be unselfish in the service of you community, and that you will be an honor to Sun- flower Junior College and Agricultural High School.
