Our poms place a great deal of emphasis on their discipline which creates a working type atmosphere while they practice. After working both night and day on their contest dance rou- tine these eleven girls took a trip down to camp which was held at Ball State and managed several placings in dance, drill team, and overall performance. The girls then returned home to better prepare themselves for upcoming competitions. With the help of Kelly .Moyer who originally choreographed the routine, the poms attempted to work all the bugs out. With shaft as their theme the Indianettes danced their way into a second place seating at the Marion County Fair, and a disap- pointing seventh place at the Indiana State Fair. The poms also went to the Indiana State Fair with the marching band on Farmers ' Day. Melody. Terri. Lesa. Jane, and Penny flash a prize-winning set of smiles toward the judges ' stand.

This year ' s theme for the homecoming dance was Looks Like We Made It. The reigning court for the big event was (below) Linda Patterson. Junior Attendant; Tonya Lowden, Freshman Attendant; Wendy Rodriquez, Queen; Brenda Mor- iarity. Senior Attendant; and Connie Neeley, Sophomore Attendant. After a disappointing loss to Eastbrook High School, the dance was held in the cafeteria. The band playing was Cassady as in past years. The music stop- ped around eleven and the cou- ples left to enjoy the rest of the evening together. The Homecoming ' s activities were topped off with a powder puff football game won by the Junior and Sophomore classes. A parade through the town also highlighted the events of the eve- ning. The annual bonfire was held the night before the actual game in an effort to spirit the team into Memories of homecoming
