You may think it isn't a very impressive record. Remember that most of our losses were by two or three points. Advancement? That isn't paying the Indians much credit. During every game the team played from the starting whistle to the final buzzer with every ounce of energy and determination. It's hard to lose games by a small margin. It would make most teams lose interest. It gave our team the will to win the next time. Our squad was small, only six boys finished the season, but they worked hard, and deserve a lot of credit for the way they came back to win after four straight losses. 33 MHS Sl MHS 29 MHS 51 MHS 21 MHS 23 MHS 27 MHS 26 MHS Muncie Central Kokomo Eastern Marion Wabash Fairmount Vayne, So. The senior year is little more than a dim hope for the freshmang it later becomes the goal for the sophomore, and it is the final realization of ambition by every junior. The classes at MHS are ever humming. The seniors are perhaps the busiest-the class play, the annual, the exchanging of class pictures, the measur- ing for caps and gowns, and at last, the long awaited Senior Xveek with its Class Day and the prom. Then too soon comes graduation and the end of our high school days. It is after graduation that the things we as seniors have learned during our days at MHS are put to the acid test. Xve are ready to become citizens of our community. Our school has prepared us well to take our rightful place. Some leave with a smile, some with a tear, and all with the knowledge that Mississinewa will always be our school. as ILC . ff SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Don Reek, Secretary Shirley George, President: john Bond, Treasurer Carolyn Burchard, Vice-President. ii 'fowl aj sf' 5 I Q L 5 , l ,gg 4 WI 1 33135335 3 i , nmmiiiii i ' X X -X .X X. Five years ago who would have thought Gas City, Jonesboro, and Mill Township would consolidate and someday have a school such as ours? Thanks to the farsighted people of our com- munity, we now enjoy the finest school in the county. Many people said, It will never work. How wrong they have been. Why do we have the new school? Everyone knew it was practically an impossibility for either community to build new buildings to meet the rapidly growing school population. The possible merger of the two schools would offer the student a more varied school program and a better opportunity to meet the demands of our complex civilization. Everyone is to be given sincere thanks for the help he has given to help make the dream come true . . . the holding corporation, the school board, those who have purchased bonds, the taxpayers, the faculty, and the students who have long yearned for the day they would step into the new building. The school has had crowded conditions for several years. But everyone will agree that the new school is worth the years of anxious waiting. The seniors of 1951 are proud to be the first class to graduate from the new Mississinewa High School. 6 ix ,. -JJ 1,1 F 'N W if f-YH' I .Z A -ig?
