The WRESTLING TEAM capped off what was, perhaps, the best season in the history of the sport at MV. They placed second in the Conference; second in St Bernard Invitational. In dual meets, they were 9-5. The year s big feature was a balanced team — that is individuals who consistently performed well as evidenced by having 8 of the 12 varsity wrestlers with winning records. 132 — Dwight Stump, senior 23- 4, best overall record Consistently performed well. Backbone of the team. 138 — Mike Roth, senior,’19- 5, outstanding job, a point winner. 145 — Darwin Leeper, sophomore, 1st year, good start, strong hard work in a tough weight class.
