Football like many of our other school activities is accompanied by self sacrifice, hard work, fun, joy, and tears as so aptly expressed in the following opinion of our head football coach: I have always felt that football is a game of total sacrifice and commitment to a team goal. It teaches young men that as individuals they are only as good as the whole. And yet this great sport also displays that the whole team is only as strong as its individual parts. I only wish that 90% of the student body could have witnessed the expressions on the tear-filled faces of our players after the last game of the season. It is doubtful that many students could understand the true meaning of this total team sacrifice.
